I am Convinced that my Dealers and Distributors need to do a MUCH BETTER job of "EXPLAINING" the Operating Instructions, and the Many FEATURES of the Model 2002 Low-Level CO "Health" Monitor.

I am getting FAR TOO MANY telephone calls from people that have purchased one or more Monitors, and do not have the SLIGHTEST IDEA of how to Understand, and UTILIZE, the Valuable Features and Protection provided by this unit.

THIS IS NOT a "Hang it on the wall and Forget It" product. Owner's Manual & Urgent Info ON BOX, ... MUST BE READ ! ! !

NEVER FORGET: ... WE ARE in the "LIFE-SAFETY" Business, ... and it IS OUR JOB to SAVE LIVES ! ! !

Take the Time to do it RIGHT, ... TEACH the TEACHERS,...TRAIN the TRAINERS, and YOU WILL SAVE LIVES ! ! !

NFPA 1500 REQUIRES that ALL NFPA "APPROVED" Fire Stations install CO Alarms in the Sleeping Quarters.

Since MANY Fire Depts. REQUIRE that their Firefighters put on their "Air-Packs" if the Level of C O found is 35 PPM or more, ..... WHY THEN would they want to put a C O Alarm in their Sleeping Quarters that can IGNORE 70 PPM for up to 239 Minutes, .....or 69 PPM ........................ FOREVER ! ! !

I want to tell ALL of you that try as hard as we can, ..... we can NOT build 100% PERFECT Products.

ALL Detectors and Alarms have a "Failure" Rate. Some Product Failure Rates Recorded by the Gas Research Institute Testing Programs over a six [6] year period were from 42% to 100%. Most Important, ..... NO WARNING was given that these Failures had occurred. The BIG DIFFERENCE in my Monitor is that, ....IT TELLS YOU when ANYTHING VITAL to the SUCCESSFUL DETECTION of Carbon Monoxide is NOT functioning PROPERLY.

C O Alarms that hang on the wall, ....DEAD, ... or non-functional,... but do NOT TELL YOU, ... are FALSE SECURITY, ... which is WORSE than NO SECURITY AT ALL ! ! !

I fully realized WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, and what the RESULT WOULD BE, I went forward with my EYES WIDE OPEN, ... KNOWING full well that I would have to deal with MORE WARRANTY REPLACEMENTS than ANYONE in the Industry; however, ... I Certainly PREFER that , ... to WONDERING if an UNKNOWN FAILURE had cost someone their LIFE.

At this time, ... the CO-Experts Model 2002 Low-Level CO "Health" Monitor is the VERY BEST Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Protection available in the WORLD, .....BAR NONE ! ! !

TOTAL, ABSOLUTE, DEDICATION to "LIFE-SAFETY" is my ONLY CONCERN, when I am designing a New Product.

After 48 Years in the "Early Warning" / "Life-safety" Industry, I have decided that it all "Boils Down" to ONE DECISION: ...... Do you want to "THINK" you are Protected, .....

1. Accurate to 1 PPM, Updates C O Readings EVERY TEN SECONDS, Constant C O Readings from 5 PPM, ... to 70 PPM, to "HI", RECALL C O Readings from !PPM to 70 PPM, to "HI"

2. FAILURE WARNINGS: Both Audible and Visual ... LOW BATTERY = Display Shows "bAT", & emits a Single Beep, Electronic Error, or SENSOR Drift = Display Shows "ERR" & emits a Single Beep & Flashes RED LED, SENSOR FAILURE or END of "LIFE" = Display Shows "SenSOr" End" & emits a Single Beep & Flashes RED LED once a minute.

3. "HUSH", "SILENCE" Button Cycles: = @ 10 PPM, ... up to 12 Hours, @ 25 PPM up to 60 Minutes, @ 50 PPM up to 6 Minutes, @ 70 PPM up to 4 Minutes. At EVERY C O Level, ... IF THE C O RISES TO THE NEXT ACTIVATION LEVEL, ... the "HUSH" Cycle is OVERRIDDEN, and the MONITOR is ACTIVATED at the RESPONSE as indicated above.

4. ACTIVATION LEVELS = 0 to 9 PPM, .... NO AUDIBLE or VISUAL WARNINGS & and NO ACTION is Required, ... @ 10 PPM ... BOTH AUDIBLE & VISUAL WARNINGS, ... [2 Beeps" a Minute] ... Call HVAC Contractor for Immediate SERVICE. ... @ 25 PPM, ...MORE INTENSE AUDIBLE & VISUAL WARNINGS, ... [2 Beeps every 10 Seconds] ... OPEN WINDOWS, CALL HVAC Contractor for IMMEDIATE SERVICE......

@ 50 PPM ... FULL ALARM after 50 Minutes, ....IMMEDIATELY CALL 911 or Local EMERGENCY SERVICES, EXIT the HOME, ... CALL YOUR HVAC CONTRACTOR for IMMEDIATE SERVICE and DO NOT RETURN until ASSURED by Professionals that IT IS SAFE to Re-enter your HOME.

Prior to RECALL, ... Display is Showing the "CURRENT" C O READINGS from 5 PPM & UP, ...After pushing the "RECALL / TEST", Display will show the CURRENT Level of C O down to 1 PPM. Display then Shows "HI", or "PEAK" Reading the unit been Exposed to since the last Time the unit was Reset

Display then shows the Elapsed Time in Hours & Minutes since the Peak Reading Occurred. Display then Shows in Hours & Minutes the "DURATION" of C O Exposure that it remained within 10% of the Peak. Display then Shows the Average COHb that would have Resulted from such C O Exposure. Display will then return to the "CURRENT" C O Level in the Sensor, [if 5 PPM or more]

TO CLEAR THE STORED DATA, ... SIMPLY HOLD THE "TEST" BUTTON DOWN UNTIL YOU HEAR THE SECOND SERIES OF "BEEPS", AFTER THE RESULTING "RECALL" SEQUENCE IS FINISHED,THE DISPLAY WILL SHOW "CLr", & the MONITOR WILL EMIT A "BEEP" & UNIT is now CLEARED.
