Your
Service Department telephone rings and your Dispatcher is told: “My C O alarm
is beeping, what am I supposed to do now”?
Nationwide,
this is repeated thousands of times a day, and once
again an expensive, time consuming, Service Call is made necessary,
simply because Your Customer’s CHEAP, Retail
Grade CO alarm does not properly describe in printed detail, exactly WHY it is
now beeping.
Therefore,
neither the customer, nor your Service Department Dispatcher have anyway of
knowing for sure why the C O alarm is now “Beeping”. Once again, the
“Potential of a Liability Issue” requires that you dispatch an Inspector /
Service Tech to respond, and your Customer Service Department
operating costs continue to increase.
Unlike
the RETAIL GRADE C O alarms that just give a beep or two if the battery is low
or if there is an electronic / wiring problem, the C O – Experts tells you on
its display screen EXACTLY what the problem is, in print, every time it beeps.
Just
by fully understanding this trouble signal system, and by asking the customer a
few simple questions immediately at the time they first call in to report their
problem, can virtually eliminate all unnecessary C O Investigation service
calls, in every home in which you have installed one or more C O – Experts Low
Level C O “Health” Monitors, all of which provide our exclusive Data Recall
/ Hush / and Fail-Safe design features.
C

The
following is printed on both the Back Side of the Monitor’s box and on an
Information card put inside every box and marked KEEP FOR LATER “USE”.

The following message appears on the Back Panel of the individual box that
contains each Monitor. Explaining to the Consumer that my Low Level C O Monitor
is a very different type of C O detector.
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION
When
your Monitor “Beeps” a SINGLE Beep, it has detected a PROBLEM in your
Monitor’s Operation, NOT Carbon Monoxide.
A
message will appear on the display window of your Monitor telling you the type
of problem detected. If it is a low battery, the display will show “bAT”.
If you have an electronic or calibration problem the display will show
“Err”. If your Monitor has reached the end of its useful life, the display
will show “Sensor End”, indicating it is time to replace your Monitor with a
new Monitor.
When
your Monitor actually detects as little as 7PPM of C O it will emit a series of
4 beeps, followed by a short pause, then 4 more beeps, once a minute The higher
the C O PPM detected, the more frequent the series of beep. When C O is
detected, DO NOT PANIC. Your Monitor gives you VERY early warning. Depress the
“Test / Hush/ Reset Button” for 8 seconds to silence the audible alarm and
watch your display to see if the C O PPM level continues to rise. If it climbs
to 25PPM, open your windows and call your heating contractor to locate your C O
leak.
Your
New Monitor has a “HUSH” feature which permits you to silence the audible
alarm, [Beeping}, while you evaluate your required actions to be taken. To
activate the “HUSH”, simply depress the Test Button for 8 seconds.
If
after you have activated the “HUSH”, the C O present continues to RISE, the
Monitor will automatically OVERRIDE the “HUSH” and sound the audible alarm
at the next higher frequency.
